Gregory Dowty (MO)

Gregory Dowty is originally from northern California and received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.  While at Northeastern, Gregory landed a prestigious internship at the reputable litigation firm of Cooley, Manion, Jones LLC in Boston where he assisted the attorneys there with all types of commercial litigation matters, complex personal injury claims, and product liability cases.  It was this internship that sparked Gregory’s interest in the practice of law.  When not studying or working while in college, Gregory enjoyed playing hockey and rowing.  Gregory earned his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where he repeatedly received the prestigious honor of being placed on the Dean’s Honor List.  While in law school, Gregory clerked for Midwest Innocence Project where he was able to help exonerate indigent prisoners that were serving sentences for crimes that they did not commit.  Gregory also clerked for another law firm whose practice focused primarily on personal injury and family law matters.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Roderick C. White, Gregory worked as a Senior Claims Specialist for a large Midwestern insurance company where he conducted insurance coverage analyses and investigated and negotiated insurance claims settlements. This experience provided Gregory with a firsthand behind the scenes view of how insurance companies operate and evaluate claims.  This experience now serves as a great advantage in his current quest of aggressively representing individuals and the families of individuals that have been injured or killed as a result of the negligence and/or wrongdoings of others.

Because Gregory is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Missouri he is therefore eligible to practice in all state courts throughout the great state of Missouri.  Additionally, Gregory is a Member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCBA).  In Gregory’s free time now, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, coaching Ice Hockey at the Carriage Club, and playing with his two dogs.
