Heather Eckert (IL)

Heather Eckert was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and after graduating from high school attended the University of Illinois at Springfield where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English.  While an undergraduate student Heather enjoyed working in the Information and Technology Department and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.  Heather then earned her Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) at Northern Illinois University College of Law in DeKalb, Illinois.  While in law school, she participated in the law school’s Moot Court Competition, Client Counseling Competition, Environmental Law Society, International Law Program where she spent time studying international law in France and held a graduate assistantship with the Northern Illinois University Residential Technology Department.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Roderick C. White, Heather served as a law clerk for a prominent Suburban Chicago personal injury firm where she learned the nuts and bolts of personal injury law from prominent, experienced, and successful personal injury attorneys while diligently assisting them with their representation of injury victims who had been involved in automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, and bicycle accidents.  It is this extensive and valuable experience coupled with her genuine passion for helping people that has undoubtedly prepared Heather to aggressively represent injured accident victims in their quest for justice.

Because Heather is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Illinois, she is eligible to practice in all state courts throughout the great state of Illinois. Additionally, Heather is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.  When she is not working, Heather enjoys trail running with her rescue dog, baking, and watching scary movies.
