Nicolas Kennedy (MO & KS)

Nicolas Kennedy was born and raised in southwest Missouri before moving to the west coast upon graduating high school.  Nicolas earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with concentrations in Administration, Human Development, and Political Science from Washington State University, where he was named to the President’s Honor Roll.  Nicolas then moved back to Missouri to attend the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s Professional Recognition List and received Pro Bono Honors while earning a Juris Doctorate (Law Degree). In addition to his legal education, Nicolas also holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University.

While in law school, Nicolas gained valuable experience both inside and outside of the courtroom, having interned with the offices of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Kansas, Missouri State Public Defender, and the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office.  Moreover, it was during this time that Nicolas had the opportunity to work closely with individuals experiencing tremendously difficult circumstances and gain a unique perspective on the challenges that they faced. Now, as a licensed attorney, he draws from that experience when working with clients; bringing with him an unrelenting desire to provide the highest quality of service while guiding clients through the intricacy of the legal system in the pursuit of justice.

Because Nicolas is licensed to practice law by both the Supreme Courts of Missouri and Kansas, he is eligible to practice in all state courts of both great states. Additionally, Nicolas has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.  When he is not working, Nicolas enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, playing various sports, and is a fervent fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
