Tanner Hewlette (MO, IL, & KS)

Tanner is a native of Kansas City where he attended Metropolitan Community College before completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. As an undergraduate, Tanner began developing his litigation skills as a member of the Washburn University Mock Trial team.  During his senior year, he was also an intern for a Kansas State Senator where he conducted research relevant to the Senator’s service as a member of the state’s Public Safety and Transportation subcommittees.

Tanner earned his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) at the Washburn University School of Law where in addition to excellence in the completion of the core curriculum, he also participated in the school’s Litigation Clinic focusing on Family Justice & Immigration Law.  While at the Litigation Clinic, Tanner was able to successfully secure court-ordered parenting time for incarcerated and indigent parents. The joy and professional satisfaction of helping these disadvantaged parents develop and protect their relationships with their children was the highlight of Tanner’s law school career and a significant motivational factor in Tanner’s intense professional desire to successfully assist injured accident victims today.

Because Tanner is licensed by the Supreme Courts of Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas, he is eligible to practice in all state courts throughout all three great states. He is also a member of the Clay County Bar Association and is active in the local Kansas City community. When Tanner is not working, he enjoys spending time with his dogs and is an avid local sports fan attending all Kansas City Chiefs games and many Kansas City Royals games as well.
