De’Mikeyal “Mike” Yow is a proud Dallas, Texas, native who served four years in the United States Army before answering a new call to serve others through the practice of law. During his military service, Mike deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield, where he contributed to United States military operations throughout the Middle East. Throughout his military career, he earned numerous awards and commendations recognizing his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, including the Army Good Conduct Medal and four Army Achievement Medals.

Following his honorable military service, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Prairie View A&M University before attending Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. During law school, Mike earned Dean’s List honors and was awarded the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award, recognizing his outstanding academic achievement.

While attending law school, Mike gained valuable hands-on legal experience through the school’s Law Clinic, where he represented clients under the supervision of licensed attorneys, drafted pleadings and other legal documents, communicated directly with clients, and appeared in court on their behalf. He further refined his litigation and advocacy skills through advanced criminal law coursework, emphasizing intensive motion practice, legal research, legal writing, and courtroom advocacy.
