Our goal is to protect your interests while helping you move forward with stability and peace of mind.

Below is a brief non-exhaustive discussion of Family Law matters that we are prepared to assist with:

DIVORCE

While divorce can be as complex, chaotic, and combative as two people wish it to be, it is simply the legal process that formally ends a marriage and resolves important marital issues such as property division, financial support, and parenting arrangements.

There are essentially two kinds of divorces: contested and uncontested. In a contested divorce there are significant disputes as to the custody/visitation of children, child/spousal support, and/or division of the marital estate (assets/liabilities).

In an uncontested divorce, while some negotiation and/or compromise may still be necessary, there are no meaningful disputes regarding children, support, and/or the marital estate. Whether a divorce is contested or uncontested, we strategically guide our clients through each stage with clarity and purpose.

Divorce is quite likely one of the most challenging transitions in a person’s life and we understand the emotional and financial impact it inevitably has. Accordingly, whenever possible, practical and/or efficient, we pursue mediation and other available forms of alternative dispute resolution.

However, when necessary to protect our clients’ interests, we always stand fully prepared to aggressively advocate in court.

CHILD CUSTODY/VISITATION

Child custody and visitation disputes are among the most important battles a parent will ever face. When your time with your child, your authority as a parent, and your child’s future are on the line, you cannot afford hesitation or inexperience.

These cases are decided under the “best interests of the child” standard and courts evaluate numerous statutory factors when allocating decision-making authority and structuring parenting time.

We build your case deliberately and aggressively around those factors. We do not rely on vague appeals to fairness—we present evidence, strategy, and clear advocacy that demonstrates why your position serves your child’s stability, security, and long-term wellbeing. We help our clients develop comprehensive, well-structured parenting plans that are practical, enforceable, and designed to reduce future conflict.

When cooperation is possible, we leverage mediation strategically. When it is not, we are fully prepared to litigate decisively.

Our objective is simple: protect your parental rights and preserve your meaningful relationship with your child.

If circumstances change—or if the other parent fails to comply with court orders—we can swiftly pursue modifications when necessary and enforce orders when they are ignored. Your role in your child’s life is not negotiable, and we treat it accordingly.

CHILD SUPPORT

Child support is intended to ensure that children continue to receive the financial support they need as family circumstances change.

In most cases, support is calculated under statutory guidelines that consider each parent’s income, parenting time, and financial responsibilities. Understanding how those guidelines apply to your specific situation is essential.

We take the time to walk clients through the calculation process, explain how income and expenses are evaluated, and identify factors that may justify adjustments. Our approach is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and focused on accuracy.

Whether you are seeking support, responding to a request, or reviewing an existing order, we work to ensure the numbers reflect the real financial circumstances. When life changes such as shifts in employment, income, or parenting schedules we assist with modifications to keep support arrangements fair and current.

If court-ordered support is not being paid, we also help clients pursue appropriate enforcement remedies. Clear documentation and careful financial analysis are the foundation of every support matter.

Our goal is to secure arrangements that are legally sound, transparent, and centered on the well-being of the children involved while providing you with clarity and confidence throughout the process.

SPOUSAL SUPPORT (MAINTENANCE/ALIMONY)

Spousal support—also known as maintenance or alimony—can play an important role in helping spouses transition financially after divorce.

Courts consider factors such as income differences, length of marriage, earning capacity, and financial need when determining whether support is appropriate. While statutory guidelines provide direction, each case is ultimately decided based on its unique circumstances.

We carefully review income, expenses, assets, and future earning potential to provide clear guidance and realistic expectations.

Whether you are seeking support or responding to a request, we focus on presenting an accurate financial picture and developing a strategy tailored to your goals.

Our approach is thoughtful, practical, and forward-looking. We aim to help clients reach outcomes that promote fairness, stability, and long-term financial security

PROPERTY DIVISION

Property division is one of the most important financial aspects of a divorce. It involves identifying, valuing, and fairly distributing assets and debts accumulated during the marriage.

Courts generally apply equitable distribution principles, meaning property is divided in a manner that is fair under the circumstances, achieving a balanced outcome requires careful preparation and informed guidance.

Our firm works closely with clients to ensure complete financial transparency and a thorough understanding of all marital and separate assets and liabilities (debts).

We can assist with the valuation and division of complex property, including real estate, retirement accounts, investment portfolios, business interests, and other significant assets and liabilities. We approach each matter with careful analysis, attention to detail, and a long-term perspective.

Whenever possible, we seek efficient and practical resolutions through negotiation. When irreconcilable disputes arise, we are prepared to advocate effectively in court to protect our clients’ financial interests.

Our goal is to ensure that you move forward with clarity, stability, and confidence in your financial future.

PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS

Marriage is both a personal commitment and a financial partnership. A carefully drafted prenuptial agreement allows you to define property rights, protect separate assets, and establish clear financial expectations before you marry.

When structured properly, these prenuptial agreements can safeguard business interests, preserve family wealth, allocate debts, and reduce the risk of costly disputes later. Without proactive planning, state law may determine how assets are divided—often in ways you did not intend.

Our firm approaches prenuptial agreements strategically and with meticulous attention to detail. We ensure full financial disclosure, thoughtful drafting, and enforceable terms designed to withstand future challenges.

The goal is simple: clarity, protection, and peace of mind so that you can move forward with confidence.
