Attorney
Daniel James was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He then pursued and successfully received his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from the Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Products Liability. During law school, Daniel clerked for the Oklahoma County District Court, interned for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, and several criminal defense firms.
After becoming licensed to practice law in Oklahoma in 1992, Daniel gained an wealth of criminal defense experience as one of the founding partners of Quinn & James, P.C., a boutique law firm that was awarded contracts with the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System to provide public-defender services to under-privileged individuals.
In 2002 Daniel became licensed to practice law in Missouri and moved back home to Missouri to be closer to his family. Upon returning to St. Louis, Daniel spent the next portion of his career working as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. His private practice focused on criminal defense, while he also served as a prosecutor in the Federal, State, and Municipal Courts. Having served both as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney, Daniel has a unique perspective of viewing cases from both sides to help achieve the most beneficial result for his clients now.
With well-over thirty years’ experience practicing law, Daniel is a highly skilled attorney with a tremendous amount of experience delivering successful results in all types of high-stakes cases. He strives to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and, guide them with clarity and confidence through every stage of the legal process. Daniel’s career encompasses successfully defending thousands of cases across a wide spectrum of criminal charges, from misdemeanors to serious felonies and he is excited to also bring that wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm’s accident/injury victims.
When not working, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
